2005年06月12日日曜日 天野茶屋発見！ （はる雑記）
熊本県水俣の源流には、桃源郷を思わせる茶畑と人がいる。
囲炉裏を囲み、山で笑い、自然と人生を楽しむ人が、お茶を生業にして、水俣や世界中の人と交じり合いながら暮らしている。
「無農薬」茶の生産者、と、一言で済ませるのがもったいない。
現代の仙人は、浮世離れしていないが、浮き世とは違う目線で日々を生きている。
そこに行けば、心が開放され、水と空気と人のよさにさらされる。
もっとも、それ以上に囲炉裏でいぶされるのだが。
それもまた、仙人に近づくための修行なのかも知れない。
この桃源郷の名を「天野茶屋」という。
私は、ここの紅茶に目がない。
いわゆる国産紅茶はあまたあれど、ここの紅茶が一番「甘い」。
不思議に甘いのだ。
もちろん、普通の無農薬茶を自家製茶しているだけで、一般的な紅茶の行程を行っているに過ぎない。
しいて言うならば手もみ作業に手抜かりがないということぐらいか。
なのに、この「茶屋」でつくられる紅茶を入れると、口中に不思議な甘さが広がる。
あわく、しかし、しっかりとした甘さ。
甜茶ほどの強い甘さはない。
ただ、もう一杯味わいたくなる甘さである。
一度試して欲しいが、紹介するのもちょっと口惜しい感じがする。
このほど、どの携帯電話さえ通じない山中から、全世界にさらりと情報が発信された。
いんたーねっとの時代である。
彼の地には、おそらくまだ、ＡＤＳＬも光も来てはいない。
だから、気長にホームページが育っていくのを楽しみにしたいと思う。
そして、ちょっとためらいながらも、紹介する。
